On March 19, the “War Up Close” team presented a virtual exhibition as part of the VII International Forum “Creative Ukraine” – Rethinking. Culture.
This is the largest platform in Eastern Europe for discussing state policy in the field of culture and creative industries. This year, the event took place on two stages at the Theater on Podol (Kyiv), as well as in an online format. About 40 participants took part in the discussions, including creative entrepreneurs, international experts in the field of culture and economics, and representatives of government bodies and civil society.
The forum program included 4 modules:
- Rethinking the role of culture and creative industries in Ukraine;
- Culture and Inclusion;
- Culture and Media;
- Culture and Business.
As well as a special session “Ukrainian Phenomenon”, discussing music, theater, books, cinema, photography, and the fashion industry, and 3 Campfire sessions.
At the “War Up Close” stand, visitors to the forum could use panoramic videos and virtual reality technologies to see up close how Russia destroys cultural monuments and civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities.
We thank the Ministry of Information Policy and Culture of Ukraine for the invitation and support.
It is worth noting that on this day another “War Up Close” exhibition took place at the University of Shreveport in Louisiana.
