On March 16, the day after the event at Xavier University, the “War Up Close” team held another VR exhibition in New Orleans – at the Congregation Gates of Prayer synagogue.
“Another small but open exhibition with Oleksandr Krapivkin. We had the honor of hosting the event together with Roman Rubchenko – a basketball player with a remarkable history and the well-known Republican Bob Livingston from the first district of Louisiana. His speech became an embodiment of a new understanding of Congress and assistance to Ukraine and Israel in the fight against evil… I like to see the astonished look of everyone who puts on the Oculus or Cardboard and hear: “We didn’t even realize how terrible the war in Ukraine looks”. This is what motivates me to continue the “War Up Close” project, to show the modern reality in Ukraine and the crimes of Russian terrorist Putin!” – comments Mykola Omelchenko, the lead photographer of “War Up Close”, representing the team in New Orleans.
We thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Information Policy and Culture of Ukraine for their support.
