For three months, the “War Up Close” exhibition will be available at the National Museum of History of Moldova.

On August 21, the opening of the “War Up Close” exhibition took place at the National Museum of History of Moldova, organized in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Office in the Republic of Moldova.

Through panoramic videos and VR technology, we aim to show the world the nature of this war and the scale of the disaster that Russia has caused in Ukraine, as well as to initiate debates in the Republic of Moldova about the dangers associated with Russian influence, propaganda, and disinformation within the framework of Russia’s hybrid war in the Republic of Moldova.

The opening featured speeches by the General Director of the National Museum of History of Moldova, Eugen Sava, Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office in the Republic of Moldova, Dr. Brigitte Triebel, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova, Sergiu Prodan, and President of the National Congress of Ukrainians of the Republic of Moldova, Dmytro Lekhartsev.

Representatives of “War Up Close” Serhiy Vorobyov and Sofiya Bilenko, spoke about the creation of the project and preparations for the exhibition.

“Each image, every detail of the exhibition invites visitors to uncover and feel the nature of this tragedy, to reflect on human suffering, and most importantly, to lean toward the idea of uniting voices for the sake of peace and democracy”, noted Ms. Sofiya.

The exhibition will be open until November 20, 2024.

In June, the “War Up Close” team presented the project at a major anti-corruption conference in Lithuania.
