Virtual Exhibition War Up Close at the Wisconsin State Capitol

In the historic building of the Wisconsin State Capitol, the virtual exhibition War Up Close has opened, truthfully and without embellishment demonstrating the genocide of the Ukrainian nation. The exhibition is based on 360° panoramic photographs, drone footage, and high-precision 3D modeling, allowing viewers to see the consequences of Russian aggression as closely as possible.

War Up Close has become part of a cultural and informational initiative aimed at strengthening understanding of the war in Ukraine within the American community. For many visitors, it was their first opportunity to experience immersive virtual reality that recreates destroyed Ukrainian cities and the lives of people affected by the occupation.

During the event dedicated to the opening of the War Up Close virtual exhibition at the Wisconsin State Capitol, another important development took place. A resolution condemning the abduction and forced deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia was introduced for the first time in the Wisconsin Legislature. This was reported by the organization Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc. The preparation of the document was made possible through cooperation with Nova Ukraine. Activists emphasized that this step demonstrates the state’s clear support for justice and the protection of innocent lives.

Earlier, War Up Close was presented at University Canada West in Vancouver, Canada. Our exhibition became part of the large project “Odesa Week in Vancouver” by Maple Hope Foundation.
