War Up Close at “Odessa Week in Vancouver”

The War Up Close museum was presented this time at University Canada West in Vancouver (BC, Canada), as part of the large project “Odessa Week in Vancouver” organized by the Maple Hope Foundation.

Odesa and Vancouver have been sister cities for more than 80 years, and this marked the first major event in Canada dedicated to the city of Odesa.

Through panoramic photos and virtual reality videos, visitors were able to experience the war in Ukraine as if it were unfolding right beside them.

The event attracted many Canadians with Ukrainian roots, as well as those who had emigrated years ago. Students, public figures, and members of the media also attended.

The War Up Close team extends heartfelt thanks to the Maple Hope Foundation for the invitation and to the volunteers for their invaluable support.

Together, we continue to raise global awareness of the suffering and genocide faced by the Ukrainian people.

The exhibition was previously displayed at Finley’s Bar & Grill in the city of Nelson, located on the Canada–US border.
