“War Up Close” at Believe in Ukraine in Buffalo

On February 23rd, at the invitation of Lukia Costello and the Dnipro Ukrainian Cultural Center, the team “War Up Close” held a virtual exhibition in Buffalo to showcase the realities of the war in Ukraine to the local community.

The project was presented by photojournalist “War Up Close” and the first certified Google photographer in Ukraine, Mykola Omelchenko. The exhibition took place at the Dnipro Cultural Center, which has been involved in collecting humanitarian aid for Ukraine since the occupation of Crimea.

Using VR technology, we showed visitors the homes and infrastructure destroyed by the Russians in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and the surrounding areas.

Parallel immersive exhibitions also took place in China, the UAE, Virginia, and Harvard.
